Here, visitors, partners and external companies can find all the important information they need about safety regulations and access rules, as well as important information to consider before visiting and during their stay at Chemical Park Knapsack.
For partners and external companies
Employees of external companies must register at the external company office in the Hürth site part before starting work. Parking is available in front of Building 9110. When registering, employees must present their identity card and proof of their work assignment from the client. Employees who are foreign nationals may be required to present a valid residence permit and a valid work permit issued by the immigration authorities and noted in the residence permit. The contractor must observe any time limits on the permits.
Before entering the factory premises, external company employees undergo a check-in (safety briefing) to familiarise themselves with the basic rules and regulations governing safety and correct conduct within the Chemical Park Knapsack. After completing the briefing, external company employees must pass a test to confirm that they have understood the information. The test can be repeated a maximum of two times if failed. It is available in several languages and is valid for one year. After that, it must be taken again.
Specific instructions for the work assignment are provided by the client or the company. Upon entering the company premises, external company employees must report to the registration office before starting work. They must sign out when leaving the company premises.
For work lasting less than five working days, external company employees will be issued with a short-term ID card granting them access to Chemical Park Knapsack. For work lasting more than five working days at the Chemical Park Knapsack, an external company ID card with a photograph will be issued. The ID cards are non-transferable and remain the property of YNCORIS. A fee of €28.20 will be charged for loss or damage.
If it is necessary to enter the Chemical Park with motor vehicles, an entry permit can be applied for. This is not transferable to other persons or vehicles. For longer periods of work, the driver will be given a yellow sticker, which must be displayed clearly on the vehicle. Only the parking space assigned by the client may be used at the plant. Driving on the premises of the production facilities requires a separate permit from the respective plant. All vehicles must comply with the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulations (StVo) in terms of roadworthiness and equipment.
Before starting work, a list of the materials and tools brought along must be handed over to the site security. Upon request, the relevant materials must be presented.
Checks are carried out at the gates and throughout the Chemical Park Knapsack to verify ID cards, tools and materials, parking spaces, speed, cars and bags. Upon request, all items carried must be presented to plant security.
All operational or business data that becomes known in the course of the assignment must be treated as strictly confidential and may not be disclosed to third parties.
The instructions of the security forces (plant security, fire brigade) must be followed without exception. Any violation will be punished with warnings, reprimands or a ban from the premises.
In addition to the access regulations listed for external companies, the safety and site rules of Chemical Park Knapsack and the client's company-specific regulations apply.
For visitors
The Chemical Park Knapsack comprises two site parts, each with its own access roads. To register at the site part Hürth, please go to Plant Security at Gate 2, Building 9110. Registration for the site part Knapsack takes place at Plant Security in the administration building, Building 0150. Before your visit, please find out where the meeting point is within the Chemical Park Knapsack and go there directly when you arrive. The security office will provide you with directions. Free parking is available in front of the entrances at Gate 2 in the site part Hürth and in front of the administration building in the site part Knapsack.
Please bring valid photo identification (identity card or passport) with you. This must be presented to plant security during registration.
You will then be instructed on the basic rules and regulations for safety and correct behaviour at Chemical Park Knapsack during our check-in process.
After completing the briefing, you will take a short test to check your understanding. Please note that registration can take around ten minutes. Please allow for this waiting time.
Für die Dauer des Aufenthalts im Chemiepark Knapsack wird ein Besucherausweis ausgestellt. Die Ausweise sind nicht übertragbar und Eigentum der YNCORS GmbH & Co. KG. Bei Verlust oder Beschädigung wird eine Gebühr in Höhe von 28,20 € erhoben. Fahren Sie mit dem Pkw auf das Gelände des Chemieparks, weisen wir darauf hin, dass die Regelungen der Straßenverkehrsordnung gelten. Bitte beachten Sie die Geschwindigkeitsbegrenzungen - im Werksteil Knapsack 20 km/h und im Werksteil Hürth 30 km/h.
